See: http://www.sophisticated.com/press_rel/000719_kick-off.html. This is a photo of an actual, shipping computer peripheral. I designed it in June 1999 in Rhino as my first 3-D project. I don't recall the exact time frame, but think I had the basic design done in two weeks, STL prototypes in four weeks, and then refined it over the next couple of months. All the mechanical design for the enclosure and cables was also done in Rhino!
